Abba Father,

We pray our grandchildren learn to “love their enemies and pray for those who persecute them” (Matthew 5:44, paraphrased).

Please give them the strength to put “all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander away from them, along with malice. Let them be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven them” (Ephesians 4:31-32, paraphrased). Let them walk away from a fight without seeking revenge or restitution from those who hurt them.

We pray our grandchildren learn to bless their enemies and “live peaceably with all” (Ephesians 4:18).

In Jesus’ Name, we pray.
Amen.
