Lord Jesus,
The reality of Your grace isn’t affected by our doubts. You don’t chastise or deal severely with any of Your children when we have questions or go so far as to demand further evidence of the Truth.
You simply pull us close and say the words that You spoke to Thomas two thousand years ago: “Put your finger here and see my hands; and put out your hand and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve but believe” (John 20:27).
When our grandchildren ask questions and struggle in their faith, please give us words to encourage them. Help us to share honestly and openly about the times we questioned God and how You lovingly called us out of doubt and into faith. Let us remind them that Your love and grace is unfailing and unconditional. Even when they doubt.
We pray this in Your Name,
Amen.
