This is delightful and frightening true! Safe and sound in Ohio in 1979 and raising a 7 and 5 year old, I had no idea how terrifying a hurricane could be. As I read over the list, I wasn’t sure these applied to our seven grandchildren ages 9 to 23. But then I looked again and even though they are all doing quite well……among the group they are being assaulted by all but one of these hurricanes.

Sherry, this prayer will become a daily rhythm. Even though I pray for them throughout the day, I rarely pray to protect them from the enemy. Thank you!

Sherry, God is working through you to guide all of us grandparents as we point our grandchildren toward him. Thank you for being his instrument in guiding us. This was great. And so true. This is my prayer.

Loved this! I too,q remember Hurricane David and the impeding storm. I was about to start my freshman year of high school and was delayed because of David. Those extra days were filled with fear and anxiety of the approaching storm and starting high school, but God saw us through both.
My prayer now for my almost two year old granddaughter is that she will always turn to our Heavenly Father when those storms approach, and they will. Whether it’s worrying about running out of gas, starting high school or just beginning two. He is mighty to save!

Loved this. Hurricane David wiped out my grandmothers house in Folly Beach and a small tree fell on our house in Mt Pleasant. Our daughter, Melissa, was not even a month old. Seems our grandchildren have so many different storms than we had!
