Lord Jesus,
Over the past few weeks, we have acted upon the frustration and uncertainty we are experiencing because of the pandemic. We confess and repent for being shortsighted; we have focused on our fears instead of Your saving grace and steadfast love. Your forgiveness, we receive with thanksgiving.
We pray for the ability to persevere, walking “by faith and not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). Please help us to remain positive not only for ourselves but for our families. Make us mindful of the blessings we are receiving because of this lockdown. Blessings like slower schedules, increased family time and a heightened awareness of Your presence.
Please remind us whenever we feel anxious or depressed that “our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” (2 Corinthians 4;16-17, NIV).
In Your Name,
Amen.
