First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to comment on my blog. You are the grandparent, who is going the extra mile! I can’t begin to imagine the weight of the load you are carrying.

Churches are awakening, albeit slowly, to the burden carried by grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. Today, I am lifting up both you and your grandchildren in prayer. May God bless you with wisdom, discernment, patience, courage and endurance as you raise both a teen and a toddler.

I recommend that you join with another grandparent for weekly or monthly prayer, whichever your schedule allows. Limit the time to one hour, so the commitment isn’t overwhelming. Praying with another grandmother over the phone or via skype is another great option.

We (Prayer Ministry of Christian Grandparenting) offer Scripture cards that you can use to pray. One is designed especially for grandparents of teens. It contains verses from the Bible, which you can pray daily for your grandchildren.
