Lord Jesus,
We thank You for our grandchildren and the opportunity to pray for their salvation. Our love for them is indescribable. Truly, they are our delight!
We pray you awaken them with the Truth of the Gospel message. Let them understand that You exchanged Your heavenly throne for a manger. Let them comprehend that You went to Calvary, willingly, where You suffered and died for our sin. Let them grasp the significance of the empty tomb from which You were raised on the third day.
Our greatest prayer is that our grandchildren receive Your free gift of grace and salvation. Let them repent of their sin and invite You into their lives as their Lord and Savior. Let them “walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4), now and forevermore.
After all, we can’t imagine eternity without them.
We pray this prayer in Your Name,
Amen.
Yes and Amen all His promises are true!
Amen! Thank you for reminding us that all God’s promises are true. Blessings to you and your loved ones.
Good morning, Sonia. First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to comment on my blog. You are the grandparent, who is going the extra mile! I can’t begin to imagine the weight of the load you are carrying.
Churches are awakening, albeit slowly, to the burden carried by grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. Today, I am lifting up both you and your grandchildren in prayer. May God bless you with wisdom, discernment, patience, courage and endurance as you raise both a teen and a toddler.
I recommend that you join with another grandparent for weekly or monthly prayer, whichever your schedule allows. Limit the time to one hour, so the commitment isn’t overwhelming. Praying with another grandmother over the phone or via skype is another great option.
We (Prayer Ministry of Christian Grandparenting) offer Scripture cards that you can use to pray. One is designed especially for grandparents of teens. It contains verses from the Bible, which you can pray daily for your grandchildren.
God bless you, Sonia.
