Heavenly Father,
We groan under the weight of this pandemic and the uncertainties, which accompany it. Therefore, we “lift up (our) eyes to the mountains—where does (our) help come from? (Our) help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2, NIV).
We pray for an outpouring of Your Holy Spirit, so we don’t despair. Please remind us that You “gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7). Help us stay informed about the pandemic but not afraid, vigilant but not compulsive, all the while, trusting that You are our immunity, our shelter and our shield.
We pray You eradicate “this deadly pestilence” (Psalm 91:3) from our land and reopen the doors of our homes, churches and communities.
In Jesus’ Name, we pray.
Amen.
