Praise is the heartbeat of a rich prayer life. With this thought in mind, let us offer praise and thanksgiving to Christ, our King!

Lord Jesus,

Thank You for walking with us in our present sufferings. You carry the light of God’s promises, reminding us that God is good, and His “steadfast love endures forever” (I Chronicles 16:34).

Thank You for “sympathizing with our weaknesses” (Hebrews 4:15). You never turn a blind eye or deaf ear to our cries for mercy; instead, You cry holy tears on our behalf.

Thank you entering our tombs with a holy rage, battling the enemy for our hearts, minds and souls. You reign victoriously over sin, sickness and death.

You are the Perfect Prophet… the Perfect Priest… the Perfect King! To You be given the glory, now and forever!

Amen.

Note: This prayer was inspired by a sermon delivered by Korey Kincaid (St. Paul’s Anglican, Summerville, SC) at the start of the pandemic.)
