Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come (Proverbs 31:25).
Abba Father,
On this Mother’s Day weekend, we want to be intentional about thanking you for the mothers of our grandchildren. Some of them are our daughters; others are our daughters-in-law or daughters-in-love. All of them sacrificed, in one way or another, to birth our precious grandchildren.
We pray these busy mothers awaken each morning with the assurance that Your steadfast love never ceases, and Your mercies are fresh (Lamentations 3:22-23). Clothe them in strength, dignity and laughter.
Let them experience the peace of Your Presence, as they juggle children, marriage, careers, housework and an assortment of other responsibilities. Let them “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him; bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10).
Let them fall asleep each night with the assurance that they sleep in the arms of their Savior, as do their children.
In Christ’s Name, we pray.
Amen.

Thank you, Duval, for taking the time to comment on the Mother’s Day Prayer. Truly, the words to these prayers are a gift from God! I pray that our paths cross in the not-so-distance future. God bless you and your loved ones. (Sherry)
