Heavenly Father,

We pray for the opportunity to share our faith stories, including our testimonies and stories of answered prayers, with our children and grandchildren. Give us insight to recognize these opportunities when they arise.

We pray for wisdom and discernment as we choose what stories to share and how to share them. Let us be sensitive, especially to our grandchildren’s emotional and spiritual maturity. Let us be willing to offer milk if they are not ready for solid food (I Corinthians 3:2, paraphrased).

We pray for the right words to say. Let these words accomplish what You desire and achieve the purpose for which You sent them” (Isaiah 55:11, paraphrased).

We pray that our faith stories point our grandchildren to the love of Christ, so they, too, will “tell the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord” (Psalm 78:4) and point others to You.

In Christ’s Name, we pray.
