Lord Jesus (Lamb of God),
We approach Your throne of grace about a delicate matter, namely abortion.
Our hearts are heavy for grandmothers who had an abortion, encouraged their daughter to have one or tried unsuccessfully to prevent one. Many of these women, if not all, are bound by unremitting guilt and grief, shame and despair. They don’t need our judgement; they need our understanding and prayer.
Please heal them, releasing them from the yoke of bondage. Bind up their broken hearts, shine Your light into their darkness and wipe away the tears from their eyes.
“Give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness” (Isaiah 61:1-3).
In Your Name, we pray.
