Heavenly Father,

Help us to be the best grandparents we can be. Give us wisdom and discernment, as we strive to find a balance between being too strict or lenient. Help us navigate time constraints, financial worries and difficult family dynamics, in order to build long-lasting relationships with our grandchildren. Show us how to love our children and grandchildren as You love them, unconditionally and without reservation or restraint.

Let us give You thanks for the indescribable joy our grandchildren bring to this season of our lives. And please let us hear You say, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21).

In Jesus’ Name, we pray.

Amen

Good morning, Al. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I am blessed knowing that you can use these prayers with the Grandparent Ministry, which you and your wife lead in Utah. I have the joy of serving as the Prayer Ministry for Christian Grandparenting Network. If there is anything I can do to help your ministry, please let me know. God bless you, the grandparents in your group and the grandchildren for whom you pray.
